The current Kondanani UK board includes: Grant Gebbie; Anni Horowitz; Al Gibson and Tim Davies. Al Gibson is our chairperson and Tim Davies is Treasurer. The picture below was taken at our 2021 AGM in Exeter and includes: Grant Gebbie, Annie Horowitz and Al Gibson.

Kondanani UK has been a registered British charity since 2005 “Providing food, homing, education for the well being of orphans and relief to parents unable to look after their families due to economic pressures. We also carry out other charitable partnerships in keeping with our governing document.
Annie Chikhwaza, founder of Kondanani Children’s Village, is our longest-serving trustee although she resigned in 2021. We are still regularly in touch with her. Kondanani UK was initially run by Richard Pearson for eight years. Other trustees joined after Annie’s ‘Mother of Malawi’ Trip to the UK in 2013. Following the launch of her biography, written by UK author, Al Gibson, he joined as a trustee along with Jane Langham and Cora Jooste.
Annie Horowitz, Andy and Penny Curwell became directors in 2015 and Jane and Grant Gebbie joined in 2018. Penny worked at Kondanani Malawi for extended periods a number of times and Jane and Grant have extended the reach of Kondanani UK to Scotland. They visited the Children’s Village in April 2023 and were instrumental in updating KCV’s safeguarding policies. Jane resigned in June 2023. Charity Account manager, Tim Davies of Style Accounts joined in 2023.
